16-year-old boy dies when truck collides with e-bike on NYC street: police

A 16-year-old boy was killed Monday when he and two other people riding an e-bike were struck by a truck on a Brooklyn street, police and law enforcement sources said.

The three teens were driving on Ditmas Avenue toward Coney Island Avenue when they were struck by the truck as it turned right shortly after 4 p.m., police said.

According to authorities, the e-bike slipped under the truck during the accident.

The 16-year-old boy was pronounced dead after being taken to Maimonides Medical Center, while a 15-year-old boy was taken to the same hospital in stable condition, police said.

The third teenager was not injured in the accident.

The driver remained at the scene of the accident. No arrests were made.
