Pulaski County murder suspect arrested

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – On Sunday, officers with the Pulaski Sheriff's Department responded to a shooting at an apartment complex off Highway 90 in the Bronston Community.

When officers arrived, they found Myron Flanagan dead at the scene.

Officers then arrested suspect Kevin Jasgarszewski, who attempted to flee the scene.

This is one of the most recent violent crimes in Pulaski County.

On August 12, three people were arrested for attempted murder near Somerset.

Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones said the increase in crime could be attributed to people not wanting to settle their differences.

“The problem is that there are not enough people trying to negotiate their agreements without extreme violence,” Jones said. “It seems like they only want to solve their problems with firearms, and that's not the solution.”

Jasgarszewski is currently being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center.

He was charged with murder and illegal possession of weapons.
