6 people arrested after shooting during chase in Liberty Hill

The victim told authorities that his vehicle had been stolen from his residence and began pursuing the suspect toward State Highway 29.

LIBERTY HILL, Texas – Six people were arrested after a suspect allegedly stole a man’s car and shot him in Liberty Hill Saturday morning.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, deputies received a report of a stolen vehicle in the 200 block of Yellow Senna Place at approximately 2:15 a.m. The victim told authorities that his vehicle had been stolen from his residence and began pursuing the suspect(s) toward State Highway 29.

During the pursuit, the suspect fired several shots at the victim, hitting his vehicle three times, WCSO said. The victim stopped the pursuit after the shots were fired.

Officers responded and later found the stolen vehicle empty with the engine running in the 100 block of Jonathan Way.

At the scene, a vehicle was observed fleeing the scene “at a high rate of speed” on Stonewall Parkway. A traffic stop was conducted, which led to the arrest of six people on other charges, WCSO said.
