Rain showers will subside overnight; clearing up, cooler days ahead

Video: Showers subside overnight; Clearing up, cooler days ahead

The showers will continue to move out to sea. That's 11 p.m. tonight. That's when you can see most of the action over Maine. It will be drier by tomorrow morning. But with all those clouds still there and the air so moist in the form of moisture, watch for a spot or two of drizzle with some fog. That's probably going to develop. It's probably going to feel very humid when you head out. Initially for your Tuesday, but it will clear up. Let's go through our schedule. We'll continue until 6:7. There may be a drop or two of rain. I DON'T THINK IT'S GOING TO BE A HEAVY RAIN. THE FOG WILL PROBABLY SLOW YOU DOWN A LITTLE IN SOME PLACES. THE CLOUDS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE, AND AS THE CLOUDS MOVE, THE HUMIDITY WILL DISAPPEAR. SO WE'LL HAVE A NICE END OF THE HUMIDITY BY TUESDAY AFTERNOON. AND THAT WILL BE THE CASE UNTIL THE MIDDLE OF OUR WEEK. IN THE MEANTIME, WE'RE STILL FOLLOWING HURRICANE ERNESTO, A STORM WE'VE BEEN FOLLOWING FOR DAYS. IT'S FOLLOWING A TRACK INTO THE NORTH ATLANTIC BUT IT'S STILL HOLD SOME STEAM HERE. So it's a Category 1 hurricane. It's passing just south of Newfoundland, bringing us rain and wind. The high risk of rip currents will remain tomorrow. The impact will begin to lessen by Wednesday and Thursday. And then we can really concentrate on the beautiful view here. Sunshine is guaranteed – a little foretaste of autumn on Wednesday.
