WSP searches for damaged vehicle after serious injury and hit-and-run

KENDALL, Washington — The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is searching for a white Nissan Murano (model year 2015-2021) following a serious hit-and-run accident with injuries on August 17.

The accident occurred at 3:52 p.m. on State Route 542 near Uphill Dr (milepost 24).

According to WSP, an unknown vehicle was traveling eastbound on State Route 542 near milepost 24 and an orange Harley-Davidson motorcycle (model year 2024) was traveling westbound on State Route 542 near milepost 24. The unknown vehicle crossed the center line and struck the motorcycle, which then came to rest on the east shoulder, according to WSP. The unknown vehicle fled the scene and continued eastbound on State Route 542.

Investigators are looking for a white Nissan Murano (model year 2015-2021) as a vehicle of interest. The Murano has damage on the passenger side near the front wheel and possibly damage to the passenger side mirror.
