Hillary Clinton’s response to the “lock him up” chants during her speech at the Democratic National Convention has spread like wildfire on social media.

Clinton mocked Donald Trump's legal challenges during her speech Monday night as the crowd began chanting “lock him up!” – a reference to the chants Trump supporters directed at Clinton during the 2016 presidential campaign.

As the chants began, Clinton tried to speak over the crowd, but then smiled and nodded as the chants grew louder.

Journalist Aaron Rupar shared a clip of the moment on X, formerly Twitter, where it quickly garnered over a million views.

“Democrats chant 'lock him up' during Hillary Clinton's speech. I need a moment to process this,” Rupar wrote in the post.

The clip was also shared by Kamala's Wins, a pro-Kamala Harris account, which wrote alongside the video: “BREAKING NEWS: Hillary Clinton nods as crowd chants 'Lock him up.' One of those full-circle moments in political history.”
