Apple iPhone 16: Launch date leaked: Everything we know

Apple's fall event will unveil the next iPhone. A possibly leaked teaser reveals the date and a new color for the iPhone 16.

The fall event is one of the most eagerly awaited technology launch events of the year, and this year is no exception.

So far, we have seen a wave of leaks about the iPhone 16 series. Now even a possible event invitation has found its way onto the internet.

According to this leaked invite, the Apple Fall Event will take place on September 10th at 10:00 am PT. This in-person event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple Park.

While the schedule is consistent with previous Apple events, the invitation is headlined “Ready. Set. Capture.” and features a bronze Apple logo.

If true, this could indicate the introduction of a new bronze model in the iPhone 16 Pro, which was previously leaked.

At this point, we have our doubts about this invitation. Apple event invitations are creative and colorful, with Easter eggs hinting at the upcoming products. While the bronze logo can be considered a hint, it is not subtle and does not match Apple's previous designs.

There is an “RSVP” button on the poster, indicating that this is an email invitation and that attendees must respond if they wish to attend the event.

Furthermore, the event is scheduled to take place on September 10th and it is unlikely that Apple will send out an invitation almost 20 days in advance.

However, Apple keeps its event invitations simple and they can be easily copied even by someone with more than basic Photoshop skills.

Even the leaker is not entirely sure about the origin of the invitation. He says that the “source wishes to remain anonymous” and claims that they have no “way to verify that this information is genuine, but given the latest news, it all seems very plausible.”

We therefore recommend taking this news with a grain of salt. The Apple event will probably take place in September and the official invitations could be sent out soon.
