Ripley County man arrested on rape and incest charges in Kentucky – WRBI Radio

(Ripley County, IN) – A Ripley County man is behind bars on two counts of rape and two counts of incest following an investigation by detectives from the Indiana State Police Versailles Post in Kentucky.

According to ISP, the investigation began in February when suspected criminal activity was reported to police.

The investigation revealed that 42-year-old Joel Stoltzfus of Holton is alleged to have committed rape and incest at least twice between 2005 and 2008 in Christian County, Kentucky.

The victim was a minor at the time.

Because the alleged crimes occurred in the Commonwealth, ISP investigators contacted Kentucky State Police detectives, who referred the case to Christian County prosecutors.

An arrest warrant was issued on August 7 and Stoltzfus was arrested last Thursday in Ripley County on two counts of rape and two counts of incest.

He is in the Ripley County Jail awaiting extradition to the Bluegrass State.
