Leaked invitations for September 16 iPhone event – ​​what you need to know

We may have just seen an invitation to an Apple event in the second week of September that was specifically about the iPhone 16, although there is a good chance that it is a fake.

The alleged invitation was shared by Majin Bu on X. However, they are not entirely convinced by their anonymous source – and thus by the credibility of this image, as they express in a follow-up post. So we take this with a grain of salt.

The invitation offers the lucky recipient the opportunity to visit Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California for an event on September 10, which many sources now believe will be the date of Apple's next product launch. The Apple logo is shown in bronze, which could possibly indicate the Desert Titanium color, which is being touted as this year's hero color for the iPhone 16 Pro.

There is also the slogan “Ready. Set. Capture,” which sounds like a reference to the iPhone 16’s supposedly new capture button for easier photo taking.
