Suspect arrested for fatal assault on senior citizen

In connection with the aggravated assault that occurred in the Central District on August 17, Baltimore Police investigators have arrested 43-year-old Timothy Clinedinst.

Investigators found that Clinedinst attacked 74-year-old David Philpot in the 1700 block of Eastern Avenue. Mr. Philpot was taken to an area hospital, where he later died on August 18.

Mr. Philpot's body was taken to the coroner's office, where it was determined that the death was a case of homicide.

On August 19, Clinedinst was arrested in Dundalk, Baltimore County and taken to Baltimore Police Headquarters where he was questioned before being transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility where he was charged with manslaughter.
