Average gas prices in Southland are falling

The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline at self-dispensing stations in Los Angeles County fell three-tenths of a cent to $4.563 on Tuesday, after rising half a cent a day earlier.

The average price is two-tenths of a cent lower than a week ago, 10.6 cents lower than a month ago and 78.2 cents lower than a year ago, according to figures from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. The price has fallen by $1.931 since its record high of $6.494 on October 5, 2022.

The average price in Orange County fell seven-tenths of a cent to $4.485, a day after rising three-tenths of a cent. That's two-tenths of a cent less than a week ago, 10.1 cents less than a month ago, and 81.5 cents less than a year ago. The average price in Orange County has fallen $1.974 since rising to a record $6.459 on October 5, 2022.
