Case IH expands product and technology offering to improve operator experience and accuracy

Case IH announces new precision technology offerings that not only help limit physical wear and tear caused by manual corrections in the field, but also provide greater accuracy, consistency and data insights to streamline operations.

For model year 2025, Soil Command will be factory installed on select sizes of Case IH Speed-Tiller 475 and VT-Flex 435 tillage implements and will work on any ISO-compliant tractor equipped for hydraulic demand. In addition, with the introduction of Case IH Active Implement Guidance, farmers now have access to a user-friendly plug-and-play system for correcting implement drift during planting, tillage and side dressing.

These latest offerings – on display at the 2024 Farm Progress Show, August 27-29 – are tailored not only to the exact needs of a farm, but also to the farmer’s preferences.

Who pays for sustainable food production in today's agricultural economy? Nobody.

“Technology is more than just data; it's also about making farmers' lives easier,” said Kendal Quandahl, head of precision technology at Case IH. “Whether it's reducing trips to the cab to adjust tillage equipment or taking soil management to the next level with targeted tillage, we offer flexible technology solutions that meet farmers' individual needs and agronomic goals.”

Soil Command simplifies adjustments in the field and addresses soil problems

Soil Command offers flexible tillage solutions with one-button, in-cab controls for depth control, tracking corrections and raising to full transport height. This reduces physical strain and time lost through manual tillage adjustments. In addition, Soil Command offers customizable presets to ensure consistency within a tillage program and help farmers achieve their preferred soil health goals.

“Soil Command is specifically designed to simplify settings and increase peak performance, making it a great complement to the Speed-Tiller 475 and VT-Flex 435,” said Ken Lehmann, crop segment manager at Case IH. “Regardless of the operator's skill level, farmers can be confident that their tillage program will be executed precisely and efficiently to solve any soil problems such as compaction, large clod size or erosion.”

The implementation of Soil Command is both interoperable and scalable, from basic functionality and compatibility with an existing fleet to updating your own tillage program to custom tillage prescriptions.

Case IH Active Implement Guidance improves accuracy and yield potential

As part of its expanded offering of accessible, easy-to-use technology solutions – both built-in and retrofitted – Case IH now offers Active Implement Guidance.

Case IH Active Implement Guidance is a plug-and-play solution that significantly reduces or eliminates implement drift, increasing yield potential while preventing crop damage and operator stress. The system ensures implement accuracy under a wide range of field conditions and operating environments.

The Implement Guidance System transmits guidance line data between the implement and the tractor, ensuring that planting, strip tilling, side dressing and special windrowing applications such as potato production are carried out with precision. The system has been deliberately designed to be a plug-and-play system with a simple single display that is compatible with selected Case IH Early Riser Planters and selected third-party applications.
