Gaylord police continue to investigate circumstances of fatal knife attack

GAYLORD, Michigan (WPBN/WGTU) – Gaylord Police continue to investigate the circumstances of a fatal knife attack that happened on Saturday.

The stabbing occurred at SunFrog Solutions, a T-shirt company. One man was killed and another was seriously injured.

Investigators said a fight broke out between two temporary workers from Jamaica.

“When our officers arrived, they found two people involved in an altercation. Both people had serious cuts and stab wounds from the altercation, in which sharp weapons were used,” said Police Chief Frank Claeys.

Both men were taken to Otsego Memorial Hospital, where one of the men, a 33-year-old, was pronounced dead.

The other man, a 35-year-old, underwent surgery and has now been released from the hospital.

Investigators said there were multiple witnesses to the incident and that they are still piecing together what happened.
