Alleged key supplier arrested in breakup of drug ring in Boynton Beach

Big Boi, a major drug ring operating in and around Boynton Beach, has been dismantled with the arrest of a man accused of being a major supplier, Attorney General Ashley Moody's office announced.

“Law enforcement continues to take poison traffickers and their deadly products off our streets, and this latest arrest should serve as a warning to anyone seeking to smuggle drugs in our state. Florida law enforcement will track you down, and my prosecutors will make sure you go to prison,” said Attorney General Ashley Moody.

According to the investigation, William Moyo was responsible for supplying large quantities of cocaine and fentanyl to the Big Boi drug ring, run by Johnson Joseph, which distributed the drugs throughout Palm Beach County.

During a search of Moyo's apartment, authorities said they found more than 20 kilograms of cocaine.

Moyo was charged with cocaine trafficking and conspiracy to traffic cocaine.

Officials say Moyo's arrest is part of an ongoing crackdown on the Big Boi drug ring, which has already seen 17 suspects arrested and a total of 50 pounds of cocaine and other illegal substances seized.
