Samsung Galaxy S24 FE leaked again ahead of launch

Last month, Samsung launched its latest foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Now that the Korean tech giant has fulfilled its annual quota of flagship releases, it is gearing up to launch its next FE (Fan Edition) phone, the Galaxy S24 FE.

The Galaxy S24 FE has been the subject of several leaks recently, revealing its possible specifications and color schemes.

Today's leak comes from 91mobiles. Folks there spotted the yet-to-be-released Galaxy FE phone on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification website.

The model number fits perfectly: The people at 91mobiles spotted a device with the model number SM-S721B/DS on the BIS website. Although the listing doesn't specify that the device is the Galaxy S24 FE, the model number is exactly the same as previously leaked via Samsung's own support page.

The debut is coming soon: Although the BIS listing does not reveal the hardware or design of the device, its appearance on the website is a strong indication that the Galaxy S24 FE could soon make its debut in India.

A simultaneous US launch would be a safe bet as Samsung launches the FE model globally. The latest guess is October, so expect promotional material or a teaser to appear soon.

Multiple hardware upgrades for the Galaxy S24 FE

While the previous report merely hinted at the impending launch of the Galaxy S24 FE, several reports from earlier this month revealed the specifications of the yet-unreleased Galaxy FE handset.

The ETNews Report highlights that the Korean tech giant is likely to launch the Galaxy S24 FE in October, while the Android Headlines The report included the hardware details as well as some clear marketing images.

A larger and improved display: According to the report, the Galaxy S24 FE will have a larger 6.7-inch display than the 6.4-inch display on the Galaxy S23 FE. The larger display will also have a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. It is expected to be powered by the Exynos 2400 SoC and come with a larger 4,565mAh battery. There will also be Galaxy AI features, but we don't have any details yet.

No new cameras: Another leak has revealed several marketing materials related to the Galaxy S24 FE, and based on these images, the S24 FE will have the same camera configuration as its predecessor. The promotional materials also show an Armor Aluminum frame and five color schemes: graphite, blue, green, yellow, and silver or white.

It could cost more: The Galaxy S23 FE launched last year for $599, and we expect the price to increase given these upgrades. However, we currently have no information on the Galaxy S24 FE's price or price increase. We'll let you know when new information comes to light, so stay tuned.

Fans particularly appreciate Samsung's Galaxy FE lineup for its flagship appeal, high-quality hardware, and affordability. Last year's GalaxyS23 FE launched for $599, making it a solid mid-range device.

However, if the rumors are true and Samsung is expected to increase the price to $649, the Galaxy S24 FE may no longer be seen as an affordable flagship, which could negatively impact sales.
