ALIQUIPPA, Pa. (KDKA) – A man has been charged with shooting a 20-year-old woman in an Aliquippa alley.

Jason Banks Jr., 25, of Aliquippa, is charged with manslaughter and simple assault after he attacked, according to police Treonna Washington on Friday evening and killed her a few hours later.

Police said a woman was walking her dog early Saturday morning when she found Washington's body in an alley on Reed Street. State police said Washington was shot in the head. An empty .40-caliber bullet casing was lying nearby, troopers said.

According to the criminal complaint, officers found video from the intersection of Linmar Terrace and Wade Street showing Banks attacking Washington shortly before 7 p.m., grabbing her by the hair, hitting her and attempting to push her down a flight of stairs.

A video from shortly before 10 p.m. shows Banks, Washington and another person walking toward Reed Street. Shortly before 10 p.m., a single gunshot could be heard in the footage, according to police.

Police questioned the third person seen with Banks and Washington. That man told investigators that Banks shot Washington while they were in the alley.
