Football star from Arizona is expected to be drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs

Arizona has several players on its roster who should have a chance to play at the next level, led by Tetairoa McMillan, but others could also be drafted in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

McMillan, who is undoubtedly the best wide receiver in the country, is considered a first-round pick in almost every mock draft released.

He is the only Arizona player who has been unanimously considered a first-round pick, but others could be selected in the coming months.

One of these players is Tacario Davis.

The star cornerback burst onto the scene in 2023. He was instrumental in the Wildcats' success and is expected to repeat the success he had last year.

Although he was only rated as a three-star recruit out of high school, he has developed into one of the best players in the country at his position.

He will also be rewarded for his strong play, as Bleacher Report's NFL scouting division predicted that he will be selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the upcoming NFL Draft.

“We all know how much Steve Spagnuolo likes big, physical cornerbacks. The Chiefs have done a great job of finding cornerbacks with the right traits for their defense and developing them in their system. They could continue that tradition with Tacario Davis. At 6'4″ and 195 pounds, he's built like a perimeter receiver but knows how to use his length to disrupt routes and play the ball in the air. Spagnuolo needs defensive backs who are capable of playing press coverage while providing variety. That would be an ideal system for Davis.”

The Wildcats almost lost their star corner when he entered the transfer portal in the offseason, but he decided to return to Arizona and continue to build something with this team.

The Chiefs have developed many high-level cornerbacks and with his skill set, it would be the ideal place for him. Davis would also have the opportunity to compete for a Super Bowl right away, which would be a great situation for any young player.

In an offensive-minded Big 12, he'll be tasked with covering other teams' best players. If he can show evaluators he's good enough to stop some of the best offenses in the country, he could push his way into the first round alongside teammate McMillan.

First, he will focus on leading Arizona to the College Football Playoffs before turning pro.
