9-year-old girl injured in accident in Ray County on Highway 10

On August 20, 2024, at approximately 9:10 a.m., a two-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 10 at Mockingbird Lane in Ray County, Missouri. The crash involved a 1997 Ford Ranger driven by Antonio A. Perez, 24, of Cowgill, Missouri, and a 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage driven by Stephanie L. Woolfolk, 46, of Richmond, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when the Mitsubishi Mirage slowed and then stopped because of animals on the road. The Ford Ranger, also traveling westbound, overtook the Mirage and struck its rear.

The Ford Ranger sustained minor damage and was driven away from the scene, while the Mitsubishi Mirage sustained significant damage and was immobilized at the scene.

A 9-year-old girl who was wearing a seat belt in the Mitsubishi Mirage suffered minor injuries and was taken to Ray County Memorial Hospital by emergency medical services.

The Ray County Sheriff's Department assisted with the incident.
