Woman arrested for operating unlicensed plastic surgery home in Miami-Dade – NBC 6 South Florida

A Miami-Dade woman was arrested for allegedly operating an illegal post-plastic surgery recovery center after police said they found three patients recovering at a home.

Yadira Cruz-Rosales, 37, was arrested Tuesday on charges of operating an assisted living facility without a license, according to a police report.

According to the report, Miami-Dade police received an anonymous complaint that six women were staying at a home in the 4900 block of Southwest 101st Avenue, possibly recovering from surgeries.

The person who filed the complaint said the women appeared to be in pain and some had blood on their clothes.

Officers arrived at the home and found a red, locked biohazard container in the driveway.

Officers also found three patients and an employee in the building, the report said.

Patients were interviewed and said they received care from Cruz-Rosales and staff that included bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene and medication administration, the report said.

The patients reported paying $300 per night for the services, both in cash and through Zelle. The employee reported receiving $500 per week for providing the services to the patients, the report said.

A review of records revealed that the home did not have a state license to operate an assisted living facility.

Cruz-Rosales was arrested and taken to jail. Attorney information was not available.
