Police ask public for help in solving death at gas station in South LA

Los Angeles Police Department detectives and relatives of the victim will publicly appeal to potential witnesses on Wednesday to provide information about the fatal shooting of a 32-year-old man at a gas station in South Los Angeles.

Marquette Deon Scott Jr. was shot around 11 p.m. on Dec. 3 while sitting in a vehicle at a Sinclair gas station in the 8500 block of South Hoover Street near Manchester Boulevard, police said at the time.

Scott died at the scene of the accident.
