One person injured in shooting in Lexington; police investigating

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – Lexington police are investigating a shooting.

Officers received a call around 5 p.m. on Tuesday about a verbal altercation between two male subjects on Delaware Avenue.

On the way, officers were informed that a person had been shot with a firearm

When officers arrived, they found a male suspect suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The suspect was taken to hospital for treatment

The other person involved remained on site.

According to police, no one else was involved

The shooting is under investigation.
