Victim identified after fatal shooting in Southside apartment

OKLAHOMA CITY – The victim of Saturday’s shooting at a Southside, OKC, apartment complex has been identified.

Police identified the dead victim as:

This death is the 61st homicide in the city of Oklahoma City in 2024.

On Saturday at 9:13 p.m., Oklahoma City Police Department patrol officers were dispatched to an apartment at 2720 SW 74th Street, near the intersection of I-240 and S. May Ave., following reports of a shooting.

When they arrived, they found Williams shot. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Interviews with people in the area indicate that “there was some sort of disturbance that escalated into gunfire when the victim was shot,” OKCPD Sergeant Dillon Quirk said in a press release.

So far there have been no arrests.
