Murphy suffers knee injury during joint training

CINCINNATI – Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Myles Murphy apparently suffered a knee injury during a joint practice with the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday.

Coach Zac Taylor said the severity of the injury had yet to be determined.

Murphy, a first-round pick in 2023, suffered an injury that appeared to be non-contact and left the field under his own power with trainers.

Murphy was expected to play a key role in Cincinnati's defensive line rotation, especially after defensive end Cam Sample was ruled out for the remainder of the season with a torn Achilles tendon.

The Bengals and Colts conducted joint practice before their preseason game on Thursday night at Paycor Stadium.
