Leaked images of iPhone 16 series reveal specifications weeks before official launch

There are only a few weeks left until the Apple event in September. The focus of the event continues to be the iPhone 16 series, and the rumor mill about the upcoming lineup seems to be in full swing. Leaks are doing the rounds, unraveling the mystery surrounding the upcoming flagship phones, with the latest leak containing promotional images of the iPhone 16.

Lakhwinder Singh posted the marketing material on X, where four images were shared. The promotional material was intended for China, which explains the currency seen in one of the images. The first image showed the vertical orientation of the camera on the back of the iPhone 16, which would be a design change from its predecessor and could be adjusted for better aesthetics or improved support when taking pictures. The model also features a 6.1-inch display, according to the image, and is not much different from its predecessor. The phone would come with an aluminum frame and a glass back similar to the classic pattern.

The iPhone 16 will feature an action button on the side similar to its predecessor. The upcoming smartphone will have a 48 MP camera for improved Low-light performance, an A18 chipset for more robust HDR processing and a USB-C connection to offer better connectivity.

The images initially include an image of an iPhone 16 Pro, which features a 48MP resolution sensor and tetraprism lens arrays to ensure direct and focused light and improve camera capabilities with reduced distortion and higher image quality. While the A18 Pro chip that powers the 16 Pro model brings some important advances in computational photography,

Furthermore, the other two images show the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro in different color options. Although the leak seems to match the general look of Apple's marketing material, it should still be taken with a grain of salt. Users should rather rely on the official reveal of the series in a few weeks. We expect more rumors to emerge as the event date approaches and that Apple will keep the series under the hood until the big reveal.
