Spanish director Pedro Almodovar makes his English-language feature film debut with “The Room Next Door.” Here is the teaser trailer.

Pedro Almodovar can of course look back on an extremely impressive filmography, starting with his breakthrough film “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown” through to more recent successes such as “Volver”, his most successful film worldwide to date.

After several English-language short films, including “Strange Way of Life” with Pedro Pascal and Ethan Hawke, Almodovar makes his feature film debut in English with “The Room Next Door”.

Ingrid (Julianne Moore) and Martha (Tilda Swinton) were close friends in their youth when they worked together for the same magazine. Ingrid later became an autofiction writer, while Martha became a war reporter. Life circumstances separated them. After years without contact, they meet again in an extreme but strangely sweet situation.
