American Airlines passenger with bloody head arrested on Las Vegas flight along with his wife after they refused to disembark

A man and his wife were arrested at a Florida airport on Tuesday after refusing to disembark an American Airlines plane when crew became concerned about the man's bloody head.

According to local reports, the two were led off a Las Vegas-bound plane in handcuffs by police at Miami International Airport after crew members expressed concerns about a possible biohazard.

Eugenio Ernesto Hernandez-Garnier, 27, boarded the plane with a bloody head and a bandage that appeared to be falling off, according to a live video streamed by his wife on TikTok.

Crew members initially asked him to clean the bloody area – apparently the result of a hair transplant – and change his bandages, but he said he did not have any replacement bandages, Local10 reported.

They then asked him to leave the plane because they were concerned about both his health and the possibility of infection in the cabin, according to arrest records obtained by the local news channel.

But he and his 32-year-old wife Yusleydis Blanca Loyola refused to comply with the request, police said.

Loyola is said to have said that if she and her husband could not fly, “no one else could either,” the report says.

The American Airlines crew called the police, who entered the plane and also asked the couple to exit the plane.

When they refused again, police handcuffed them and forcibly removed them while Loyola screamed in Spanish that her husband had just undergone surgery and that the blood was dried, according to clips on TikTok.

A crowd of all the other passengers on the flight, who had also had to leave the plane for health reasons, cheered and clapped as a tearful Loyola filmed herself and her husband walking through the gate.

The man and woman were initially taken to the hospital to evaluate the bleeding before being transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, authorities said.

Loyola also underwent plastic surgery during her visit to Miami, according to videos she posted on TikTok under the name “La Pony.”

Commentators wrote that they were not cleared by the doctor to fly before boarding the plane back to Vegas just days after their surgeries.

In her mug shot, Loyola is wearing a hospital gown, while Hernandez-Garnier's mug shot shows droplets of blood on her head.

They are accused of trespassing despite a warning and resisting an officer without the use of violence.
