Most obituaries published in the Reading Eagle are submitted by funeral homes and cremation services, but we also accept submissions from families. Obituaries can be emailed to [email protected].

In addition to the text of the obituary, you may attach any photos you wish to this email. Please paste the text of the obituary into a Word document, Google Doc, or into the body of the email. The Reading Eagle also requires a way to confirm the death, so please include either the phone number of the funeral home or cremation facility that is responsible for caring for the deceased, or a photo of their death certificate. We also ask that you include your full name, phone number, and address in this email.

All family payments must be made by credit card. We will send you proof of the completed obituary before requesting payment, but the obituary cannot be published until we receive full payment.

Obituaries may be submitted for any future date, but must be received no later than 3:00 p.m. the day before the broadcast to be published.
