14-year-old victim identified in Moorhead murder

MOORHEAD, MINN. (Valley News Live) – Moorhead police identified the teenage Red River murder victim this week.

Officials say the victim is 14-year-old Jaelyn Walker of Moorhead. Her body was found in the area of ​​6th Avenue & Elm Street on August 20th after she was reported missing on August 19th.

As a result of an investigation, 18-year-old Isaac Arndt, who allegedly knew Walker, was arrested for her murder. Arndt is being held in the Cass County Jail on murder charges, but there are plans to extradite him to Clay County.

Police say the investigation into Walker's murder is ongoing and they are awaiting the preliminary report from the Ramsey County Coroner. A cause of death has not been released at this time.
