Man pulls out gun during road rage in South Florida

Port St. Lucie police arrested a 63-year-old man on Tuesday in connection with a road rage incident. Police say suspect Paul Slane and the victims were traveling in the 1200 block of Southwest Briarwood Drive around 4:30 p.m. According to officers, Slane drove a black Mercedes aggressively around the victims' truck while pointing a handgun at them. He then stopped in front of their truck and got out. In a video released by Port St. Lucie police, Slane can be seen approaching the driver with a gun in his hand. Slane then struck him with his free hand through an open window. He also struck the adult female passenger while demanding that she give him her cellphone, which she was using to record the scene. The suspect then fled. St. Lucie County Sheriff's officers found him a short time later and took the gun from him. Port St. Lucie police arrested Slane on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and attempted armed robbery, as well as two counts of simple assault. Top headlines:
