1 dead and 1 injured in shooting during brawl in Birmingham apartment complex

Birmingham police are investigating after a large brawl in the Apple Valley neighborhood turned deadly. A woman was killed and another person was shot just after 10 p.m. Tuesday at an apartment complex on Gallant Drive, police said. According to police, a woman was killed and another person was shot in an apartment complex on Gallant Drive shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

The Jefferson County Coroner identified the victim as 21-year-old Asia Poole of Birmingham.

According to investigators, an argument broke out between several people, after which someone opened fire and shot the two victims.

According to officials, one of the victims' cars was stolen at the scene but later found on Center Point Parkway.

No arrests were made.
