Teenager arrested and charged with murder of 20-year-old in Lockhart

LOCKHART, Texas — Lockhart police arrested a juvenile suspect Wednesday in connection with the murder of a 20-year-old man last week, authorities said.

The juvenile, whose name was not released, was arrested at a home on the corner of East Market and Carver streets around 9:30 a.m., according to Lockhart police. The suspect attempted to flee but was arrested without incident.

According to police, the teenager is accused of premeditated murder in connection with the death of 20-year-old Carlos Sanchez, who died early Friday from numerous gunshot wounds.

Four adults were also arrested on Wednesday for harboring a fugitive, police said. Their names were not initially released.

The arrests followed investigations by the criminal police. The police said the investigations were not yet complete.
