Motorcyclist killed in accident in Bushwick

BUSHWICK – PHILIPPE Haussmann, 29, of BUSHWICK was killed in a motorcycle accident at the intersection of Scott and Flushing Avenues Tuesday morning. According to police, Haussmann was riding his motorcycle north on Scott Avenue and then collided with the driver's side fender of a westbound truck at the intersection of Flushing Avenue, throwing him into the roadway, where paramedics pronounced him dead. The truck driver remained at the scene and was not charged.

Haussmann is the third person to die in a motorcycle accident last week: teenager Juared Umedjon died on Monday after his e-bike collided with a turning truck, while motorcyclist Carlos Rosa killed last Wednesday after being hit by a jeep.
