Officials identify inmate who died at Penobscot County Jail

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – The name of the inmate who died last week at Penobscot County Jail has been released.

Officials say Randy Webber, 51, of Stonington was found dead last Wednesday just before 8 a.m.

They say Webber was admitted to the jail on August 12th.

He was being charged with aggravated drug trafficking.

According to the early investigation, the Sheriff’s Office says Webber died as a result of a medical event.
