Man charged after incident near Donald Trump's rally

AUTHORITIES IN WILKES COUNTY SAY THEY HAVE FOUND THE BODY OF A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD BOY WHO HAS BEEN MISSING FOR MORE THAN 16 HOURS. SEARCH TEAMS FOUND ZACH WALKER THIS AFTERNOON IN A POND NEAR THE FAMILY'S HOME. AUTHORITIES DESCRIBE HIS DEATH AS A TRAGIC ACCIDENT. A SEARCH BEGAN LAST NIGHT AROUND 7 P.M. IN RONDA AFTER THE BOY WAS REPORTED MISSING FROM THE FRONT YARD OF HIS HOME. INVESTIGATORS HAVE YET TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF DEATH, BUT THEY SAY NO CRIME IS SUSPECTED IN MEBANE. THREE OTHER SUSPECTS ARE CHARGED IN A FATAL BURGLARY. ORANGE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HAVE ARRESTED DEMARCUS TATUM, SCOTTY PLEASANTS AND CHRISTOPHER HAMLETT ON FIRST DEGREE MURDER AND OTHER CHARGES. COMMISSIONERS SAY THEY BROKE INTO JERRY DRIGGERS' HOME ON HIGHWAY 70 NEAR BUCKHORN ROAD IN MARCH. AND THEY SAY DRIGGERS FIRED A GUN AT THE SUSPECTS, WHO SHOOTD BACK. DRIGGERS LATER DIED IN THE HOSPITAL. A FOURTH SUSPECT, CLARENCE HAYES, WAS PREVIOUSLY ARRESTED AS PART OF THIS INVESTIGATION. HE IS CHARGED WITH SECOND DEGREE MURDER AND IS ON TRIAL FOR FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP IN 2020. Speaking to supporters in Asheboro, the Republican presidential candidate and his running mate, Senator JD Vance, held a rally this afternoon at the North Carolina Aviation Museum and Hall of Fame. This is their first joint appearance in North Carolina and the former president's first outdoor appearance.

According to officials with the Asheboro Police Department, a man has been charged following an incident that occurred after Donald Trump's rally. Officials said the incident occurred outside the venue after the rally had ended and people were leaving the premises. According to Asheboro Police officials, a man has been charged following an incident that occurred following a Donald Trump rally.

Officials said an incident occurred outside the venue after the rally ended and people were leaving the area. Officers on hand immediately arrested the suspect and began an investigation.

During their investigation, officers discovered that in an apparent incident of road rage, a weapon had been displayed from inside a vehicle, but it had not been pointed at anyone.

Officials also said the suspect did not threaten anyone.
