Clippers fans won't be happy with opening night ticket prices

LA Clippers fans have been waiting for years to see their team play a home game in an arena of their own. Not an arena that the team leases and has to share with three other professional teams, but one that they can say is theirs alone.

Now that dream has finally become a reality. The Intuit Dome officially opened to the public on August 15, and fans are already marveling at the incredible features of this one-of-a-kind, state-of-the-art venue. Clippers fans can enjoy a first-class experience every time they attend a home game to cheer on their team.

When the NBA's full-season schedule was officially released, we learned that Clippers fans will fill the Intuit Dome for their first-ever home game on October 23. LA will host the Phoenix Suns that night at 7 p.m. Pacific Time.

However, there is new information about the premiere that is less exciting, and that is the price of admission. According to Fox Los Angeles, tickets for the 100th floor of the lower seating area cost between $300 and $577 per ticket. Currently, there is not a single ticket listed online for less than $240.

This is probably disappointing for most Clippers fans, and it's clear that Steve Ballmer is doing his best to make tickets as affordable as possible since he puts fans first with everything at the Intuit Dome. However, given how much promotion there is for this new arena, this isn't too surprising. Fans are clearly excited to get into the building and see what all the hype is about.

Before moving to Inglewood, the Clippers were able to offer fans relatively cheap ticket prices. Compared to the Lakers' home tickets, LAC tickets were a dime a dozen. Now that the Intuit Dome offers an even better entertainment experience, it's understandable that prices have gone up.

Extremely wealthy Clippers fans will likely have no trouble getting a ticket to the premiere. However, the average fan will either have to dig deep into their pockets or consider watching the premiere from home.
