Michael Bisping stands by Dana White in his reaction to Merab Dvalishvili's leaked cut

Michael Bisping: Merab Dvalishvili ‘didn’t think about the implications’ of leaked cut

During a recent conference on his YouTube Channel, Bisping responded to the drama between Dvalishvili and White.

“This is the age we live in,” Bisping said. “Dana is right when he talks about boxers, he obviously knows a lot about boxing and mixed martial arts. There was no social media back then. The new generation, however, lives on social media. Their entire life is on social media. Granted, I post here and there too because it's just a necessary part of what I do… but a lot of it stays private. If I fought Sean O'Malley in a main event… and got knocked out, I wouldn't post it on social media…

“I'm not talking bad about Merab. I think he's great, a great guy, an incredible fighter… but not everything needs to be on social media,” Bisping continued. “Fighters get injured all the time, now granted, the fight is still a few weeks away, just a small cut. It'll probably be OK… but you can't blame Dana for being a little pissed. When you're doing this mega blockbuster event that's one of a kind and costs millions and millions of dollars… we live and learn, we all make mistakes and he probably wasn't thinking about the consequences.”

At the time of this writing, the fight between O'Malley and Dvalishvili is still ongoing and the severity of Dvalishvili's cut was not so bad that the main event had to be canceled.
