Police search for bicycle shooting suspect in South LA

A man was shot and hospitalized on Wednesday. The Los Angeles Police Department was searching for the shooter.

It happened around 4:21 p.m. near the intersection of 16th Street and San Pedro Street in South LA, just north of the 10 Freeway. The LAPD said the shooter fled on a bicycle and is currently at large.

Firefighters from the Los Angeles Fire Department were on scene to assist. The victim's condition is unknown.

The motive for the shooting is currently unclear.
