Search continues for third suspect in major Ridgecrest police drug raid

Two men have been arrested following a months-long investigation by Ridgecrest police after more than three pounds of drugs were seized. Officers are still searching for a third suspect they believe is connected to the investigation.

Eddie Kuppens, 45, of Ridgecrest is charged with selling and distributing illegal drugs, including methamphetamine and fentanyl.

William Danelson, 45, of Inyokern, is charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Officials said they were able to trace Kuppens and Danelson's activities to suspected drug sales in the Ridgecrest area.

The following were confiscated:

  • Almost 3 pounds of methamphetamine
  • 6 ounces of fentanyl
  • Several illegal weapons

According to RPD, the seized methamphetamine could be used to produce approximately 6,840 individual doses, while six ounces of fentanyl could contribute to the production of 1,710 counterfeit pills.

Kuppens and Danelson were taken to the Kern County Jail.

Officers are still searching for a third suspect. The description is: White female, approximately 50 years old, 1.65 m tall, 68 kg, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

“We commend our investigators and patrol officers for their tireless efforts to bring this investigation to a successful conclusion. This is the level of commitment our community expects and deserves,” said Police Chief Ysit.
