Sabrina Carpenter previews the music video for “Taste” featuring Jenna Ortega, which appears to be inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 horror film “Psycho.” WATCH

After releasing two chart-topping singles, “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” from her upcoming album Short n' Sweet (out August 23), Sabrina Carpenter released a teaser for the music video for her third album, “Taste,” featuring Jenna Ortega, on Wednesday, August 21.

In the 16-second preview of the song, which she shared on her social media, Carpenter is seen grabbing a knife from a bed full of guns. She then enters the foyer of a massive mansion and heads to the bathroom, where she finds the Wednesday actress and her former Disney Channel co-star making out with a man in the shower. Carpenter attacks Ortega with the gun as her eyes widen in fear.

Sabrina is one of the songwriters of Taste, along with Julia Michaels and Amy Allen. Ian Kirkpatrick and John Ryan produced the song and Dave Meyers directed the music video, which is a clear reference to Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 horror film Psycho.

“I'm known for sharing,” she sings in the song, according to Paper Magazine. “You're gonna have to taste me when he kisses you.”

“I write every song,” the 25-year-old pop star said when asked about the song's reportedly risqué subject matter. “That doesn't mean I'm going to release it, but I'm going to write it. I think the series of unfortunate events I've experienced in relationships are no secret to people who know me or think they know me.”

The track list for Short n' Sweet also includes Good Graces, Sharpest Tools, Coincidence, Bed Chem, Dumb & Poetic, Slim Pickins, Juno, Lie to Girls and Don't Smile.

Sabrina's plans after the album's release include a North American tour in support of her LP. Jenna Ortega, on the other hand, will star in Beetlejuice 2 alongside Michael Keaton, Tim Burton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara and more. The film is set to be released on September 6, nearly 30 years after the release of the original cult classic.
