West Decatur man sentenced to lengthy prison term for possession of large amount of meth – GantNews.com

CLEARFIELD – A West Decatur man was sentenced in court Tuesday to a lengthy prison term for possessing a large amount of methamphetamine.

Anthony Dominic Guy, 52, pleaded guilty to willful possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), minor possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in connection with a search of his home by state probation officers in March 2023.

According to First Assistant District Attorney F. Cortez “Chip” Bell, Presiding Judge Fredric J. Ammerman sentenced him to four to eight years in state prison, followed by 12 months' probation.

According to the affidavit, state probation officers discovered a bag of suspected methamphetamine during a search of his home. They obtained a search warrant and the home was searched.

According to the report, $9,900 in cash, a “debt list,” digital scales, pipes, a revolver and a bag containing approximately 577 grams of crystal methamphetamine were seized during the operation.

In February 2022, Guy was sentenced to one to four years in state prison for simple assault and recklessly endangering another person, according to an earlier article.

These charges stemmed from a robbery in Clearfield Borough in January 2021.

According to police, the victim was attacked by Guy and Richard Allen Demko, 28, of Northern Cambria after they parked his vehicle in front of his home.

Demko asked “Where's the money?” and the victim refused to answer the question, so Demko punched him and then shot him as they were on the back steps of his home, according to the report.

The victim managed to get into the apartment and close the door.

After pleading guilty, Demko was sentenced in March 2022 to three to six years in prison for attempted robbery and 40 months to eight years for aggravated assault, giving him a total sentence of at least six years and a maximum of 14 years.
