Ryan Ten Doeschate was quoted by TalkSport Cricket as saying: “It's exciting and it's intimidating at the same time. What we want is to qualify for the WTC final. It's a great opportunity because there are 10 Tests left, five of them in India and then we go to Australia for five more, which will be great.”

“Then there is the 2024 Champions Trophy. With only three ODIs left in the preparation phase, it will be a real challenge to switch between formats and prepare the team for what they are desperate to win,” Ryan Ten Doeschate added.

He added: “Then in the next WTC cycle the tour to England [summer of 2025] will be fantastic and then we will prepare the team for the T20 World Cup 2026.”

“It's quite difficult in terms of timing to come into a team that has just come back from winning the 2024 T20 World Cup, but when you think about what's coming up over the next 18 months, it's mouth-watering as a coach. There are all the series you want to be part of and all the challenges you want to face,” concluded Ryan Ten Doeschate.
