Bosnia and Herzegovina Security Minister speaks out on incident, insists he was attacked, mentions ‘radical Islamists’

The Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nenad Nešić, commented on the incident that occurred in Sarajevo on Wednesday and in which his official vehicle was involved.

Nešić continues to insist that it was an attack, even though the relevant judicial authorities have determined that it was a traffic violation.

Nešić then said that he had unconfirmed information that the perpetrator was a man who supported “radical extremist Islamist groups”. However, he did not provide any evidence for these claims.

“They say it is nothing, it is an ordinary offense. I do not know how you can call it an ordinary offense. The vehicle I was in and the vehicles accompanying me were clearly marked, they had flashing lights, and one man tried several times to cut us off with a jeep and even tried to ram vehicles once,” Nešić told reporters in Prijedor.

He asked what if there might have been a CIA director in the car.

“I ask the entire population of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whether Serbs, Bosniaks or Croats, what would have happened if the director of the CIA had been in the vehicle instead of Nešić. Would that person be at large today or under investigation,” Nešić added.

We would like to remind you that the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton (KS) has determined that there were no elements of a criminal offense in today's incident, in which a driver from Sarajevo overtook an official vehicle carrying the Minister of State Security Nenad Nešić, writes Klix.ba.
