Deputies identify man killed in Miami County traffic crash – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

MIAMI COUNTY – Officials have identified the man who died in a car crash in Miami County on Wednesday.

The deceased driver was identified as Bruce Redick, 55, of Lost Creek Township, according to the Miami County Sheriff's Office.

Paramedics took the other driver to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As reported on Wednesday News Center 7 at 11At about 5:10 p.m., a pickup truck was traveling north on Alcony Conver Road when it ran a stop sign and collided with a second vehicle traveling east on State Route 55, according to Lt. Randy Slusher of the Miami County Sheriff's Office.

Both vehicles ended up in a ditch and overturned.

A preliminary investigation revealed that both drivers were wearing seat belts and the accident occurred because one of the vehicles failed to obey a stop sign.

The crash remains under investigation.
