NHL 25: New leak gives clues about possible release date and platforms

In a new post on X today, reliable leaker billbil-kun claimed that EA's highly anticipated new game NHL 25 will release on October 4, 2024.

They also claimed that the available platforms will include at least the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.

A fan asked about a possible PC version or PlayStation 4 release. Billbil-kun replied that there is currently no sign of a PC release and that “I can't be 100% sure, but I don't see a PS4 version.”

UPDATE – in a new post about X, EA confirmed that an official reveal of NHL 25 will take place today at 11am ET.

EA's previous game, NHL 24, was originally scheduled to be released in 2023 for both the current and last generation of PlayStation and Xbox consoles.

It hasn't been released on PC, so that version seems unlikely for NHL 25 yet, which could disappoint longtime fans. However, with a release date in October 2024, NHL 25 could potentially use the same PlayStation and Xbox platforms as its predecessor.

Earlier this week, EA also leaked its own new details about NHL 25, including players and new gameplay mechanics. EA apparently didn't release its reveal trailer, inadvertently giving some fans access to the trailer before quickly removing it.

The leaks include – spoiler alert – cover athletes featuring the Hughes brothers, ICE-Q intelligence mechanics, next-gen vision controls, and more.

Billbil-kun also recently leaked the release date and other details about EA FC 25 in July 2024. They expect FC 25 to be released in late September 2024.
