Teenager arrested for alleged involvement in murder

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana (KSLA) – A 14-year-old has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of a man on Boone Street.

On August 21, the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) arrested a juvenile who was allegedly involved in the fatal shooting of Troy Ducote on August 16 in the 3000 block of Boone Street. Witnesses had reported that Ducote was being chased by what appeared to be juveniles before he was shot.

At the beginning of the investigation, it emerged that there had been an altercation between the victim and several possible youths, which ultimately led to the victim being fatally shot in the upper body. As the investigation continued, investigators obtained an order to take a 14-year-old youth into custody in suspected connection with the murder.
