New surveillance video shows a registered sex offender allegedly stalking a 10-year-old girl at a Miami-Dade Home Depot last month; the incident landed the man behind bars again.

According to Miami-Dade jail records, 60-year-old Kevin S. Hurley was arrested on charges of aggravated prosecution of a minor.

Florida Department of Law Enforcement records show Hurley is a registered sex offender, while Florida Department of Corrections records show he was sentenced to five years in prison in 2014 for lewd and lascivious sexual abuse of a child and lewd and lascivious sexual abuse of a child, but was released and placed on probation in 2017.

According to a police report, as part of his probation, he is under GPS monitoring and is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with minors.

The alleged stalking incident occurred on July 4 when the 10-year-old was with her mother at the Home Depot on Southwest 106th Avenue.

The mother said they were standing at a counter when Hurley approached the girl and started talking to her, the report said.

“I love your Mickey ears and I think you're too big for that shopping cart,” he told her, according to the report.

The girl became uncomfortable and took off her Mickey ears while Hurley completed a transaction and spoke to the girl again, telling her, “I think you are so beautiful,” the report said.

In surveillance footage from the store obtained by NBC6 on Thursday, Hurley can be seen at the cash register and in the surrounding area wearing a tan shirt and camouflage shorts.

Hurley left the area, “keeping the victim in sight” and was seen on surveillance cameras “pacing up and down a nearby hallway while constantly keeping an eye on the victim and his location,” the report said.

The mother noticed Hurley's “erratic behavior” and took a photo of him, the report said.

At one point, Hurley attempted to approach the girl from behind, but was stopped and continued walking in the area before leaving the store, the report said.

He got into his car and parked illegally in front of the exit door for about ten minutes, waiting for the girl to leave the store, the report said.

Fearing that Hurley was waiting for her, the mother asked a Home Depot employee to escort her to her car.

As soon as she left the store, the mother noticed Hurley in his vehicle and took a photo of his license plate.

Hurley immediately backed up his car and slowly followed the girl, her mother and the employee until the mother stopped and parked in an empty parking lot, the report said.

Kevin S. Hurley, charged with aggravated stalking of a minor, appears in Miami-Dade bail court.

Hurley parked his car at the stop sign in front of the mother and daughter until he was stopped by a man in a truck and fled the scene, the report said.

Surveillance footage showed the encounter in the parking lot.

Police later found Hurley, arrested him and took him to jail.

Hurley appeared in court, where his bail on the stalking charge was set at $10,000. Attorney information was not available.
