Others require a subscription payment, but then we found two websites that offer this download service for FREE!

Download TikTok videos

For TikTok downloads, we recommend SSSTIK.io. The website is straightforward and guides the user through the downloading process effortlessly. To get started, simply copy the URL of the video you want to download from TikTok into a search bar. The site will grab the link and give you options to download the video without a watermark or download an MP3 (audio only).

The example above shows you the desktop version. In this video we found a cool recipe with detailed instructions. By downloading it, we had the video available at any time.

SSSTIK.io also has an iPhone/iPad and Android app. If you're using an Apple product, you can use the app's built-in sharing feature. When you click the share button, you'll see the option to “save video.” The video will then be saved to your device. Just make a note of where it's saved so you can find it again. On an Android device, you can find the app on the Google Play Store. Again, you copy the URL of the video and paste it into the app. The app will generate a direct link that you can use to download the video to your device. So Android has an extra step compared to an Apple device. Still, not bad for free.

Download Twitter (X) videos

SSSTwitter is the website that allows you to download videos from Twitter (X).

• Copy Tweet or X-Post URL: Find the video you want to save on Twitter. You need to make sure you are not just on your home dashboard, but click on the actual X post or tweet to download the individual page. Copy the link from your browser's address bar. If you are using the official Twitter app, tap the Share button and copy the link from the Share pop-up bar.

• Insert into the input field: Paste the copied link into the input field on the website.

• Download Twitter video: Click the “Download” button. Within a few seconds, a page with download options will appear. You can download the video in different qualities (HD, SD) or even as an MP3 file. Note that the video must be set to public for a successful download.
