Eminem's new single shoots back into the top 10 after the video is released

Eminem continues to promote his new album The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace) continues, even as the track itself begins to fall on the US charts. The rapper chose the set's third single when the album was released, and now it's once again a top 10 seller.

“Somebody Save Me” is storming the US iTunes charts after Eminem released the official music video for the song. At the time of writing, the single is ranked number 8 on the list of best-selling songs on the platform in America.

The song quickly became a bestseller after its initial release a few weeks ago, but hasn't been selling as well since then, which isn't surprising. “Somebody Save Me” improves its position on iTunes by more than 40 spots, as many fans were inspired to purchase the song by the accompanying video.

“Somebody Save Me” is the third official single from The death of Slim Shadyand it has the makings of a real hit. The song has so far peaked at number 27 on the Hot 100, although it reached that position without much promotion. Now that Eminem and his team are pushing the song with a video and probably a radio campaign, it could reach new heights in the coming weeks.

Eminem isn't alone on “Somebody Save Me,” and his collaborator also brings some star power to this future hit. Jelly Roll sings the chorus, adding some flair and a new voice to the composition – and making it appealing even to those who might not otherwise be interested in pure rap.

“Somebody Save Me” is currently Eminem's only Top 10 hit on iTunes in the US, but the same cannot be said for Jelly Roll, who also appears several places higher, at number 4, with his current solo focus. “I Am Not Okay” has been selling well since its release a few weeks ago, as Americans are not yet tired of the track.

Eminem almost returned to the throne of the Hot 100 earlier this year when he began to turn the world on to The death of Slim Shady. The set's first single, “Houdini,” debuted and peaked at No. 2. The follow-up song, “Tobey,” featuring Big Sean and BabyTron, only made it to No. 24. “Somebody Save Me” immediately gave Eminem and Jelly Roll another top 40 win on the Hot 100 when it dropped, but that might just be the beginning for the genre-spanning hit.
