MEMPHIS, Tenn. – As Tiger Nation prepares to return to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium for the highly anticipated 2024 football season, fans will see a number of different elements around the venue, with the second phase of construction currently underway.
The University of Memphis Athletic Department released important information regarding game day and fan experience enhancements for the upcoming season below Thursday.

STADIUM CONSTRUCTION & SAFETY

All demolition work at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium has been completed for phase two from the top of the building to the ground floor. There is currently no falling object hazard.

The ADA platforms and lower back seats will remain untouched and have been separated from the construction area by a 20-foot-wide walkway and 8-foot-high game day barriers to ensure fan safety during games.

Movement options for fans within the SBLS will be smooth and functional, and signage will be in place to provide guidance in the affected areas of the stadium.

To improve navigation safety, the dish is illuminated with specially developed temporary lighting.

DIGITAL TICKETING
Tickets and parking passes for Tigers games are fully digital, making it easy to get tickets, enter the venues and share tickets with family and friends. Information on digital ticket sales can be found HERE.

Remember to add your ticket(s) and parking pass(s) to your digital wallet before match day to avoid delays in entering the stadium.

STADIUM ENTRANCE & GATE ACCESS
All gates at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium are expected to open 90 minutes prior to kickoff.

There are now magnetometers at each entrance that you must pass through for security screening before scanning your ticket. Fans will no longer be frisked by security staff.

During the renovation work at SBLS, Gates 4 and 5 will be unavailable for stadium access. The other four gates will remain fully operational, including Gate 3 (between the towers at Tiger Lane). All other gates (1, 2, 6) will also be fully available for stadium access.

The UofM student gate is now located at Gate 6 (previously Gate 4).

PARKING & SHUTTLES
Parking is not affected this season and the shuttle service remains the same as in the past.

Season parking permits are digital. Your parking permit will be visually verified at the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium property access points and scanned at the entrance to your parking space.

The City will offer parking on game days at Liberty Park Mixed Use Development ($30 on game days; Access Point 6 at SBLS) and Tobey Park ($20 on game days; 2599 Avery). Use of the match day parking spaces is only possible with a card.

Park-and-ride shuttle service from the University of Memphis campus to Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium will continue to be offered. Service includes parking and round-trip transportation to and from the stadium for $10 per person, by card only. Fans who wish to use the shuttle service can board the shuttles from the entrance of the Central Avenue Parking Lot at Zach Curlin Street (3854 Central Avenue). Service to the stadium begins four hours prior to kickoff and continues until 30 minutes after kickoff. Round-trip rides will be available at halftime, the end of the third quarter and then continuously after the game for one hour after the final whistle.

Fans parking in the tan/silver/pink parking lots must enter via the towers at Tiger Lane.

For weekend games, the car park opening times vary depending on the kick-off time of the game. Weekday games will be announced separately:

  • 11am – 1pm Start: Parking lots open at 6am
  • 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Start: Parking lots open at 8:00 a.m.

TIGER LANE & TAILGATE

The new Tiger Tailgate area is back! Serving as a gathering place for all fans to enjoy the pre-game festivities at Tiger Lane, there will still be a big screen TV for fans to watch the games on, as well as food trucks, beer sales, seating and tables.

The Kid Zone will continue to offer a larger area to accommodate more bouncy castles for children as well as a soccer field for the children to play on.

The Tiger Walk will continue to take place at the same location, 2.5 hours before kick-off on Tiger Lane.

The MAF Hospitality Tent will remain closed on 2.and Quadrant of Tiger Lane.

The Fast Pass is available at the MAF Hospitality Tent for season ticket holders who wish to pre-scan their game tickets and receive a wristband to use Fast Pass entry at Gate 3.

IN-GAME FEATURES AND UPDATES
This season will continue to feature enhanced fireworks and cryo for the new Tiger team runout and Memphis touchdowns (we expect lots of fireworks).

“Release the tigers” presented by Dillard Door & Entrance Control, is back and will be using the locker room garage door with the inflatable tiger head on Tiger Lane for photo opportunities. Be sure to stop by before entering the stadium.

The University of Memphis Marching Band's “Mighty Sound of the South” is now located in Section 129.

The Memphis football team will continue to operate from the west sideline, however all on-field appearances and recognition will now occur on the east sideline. This includes flipping the leaping tiger logo and midfield, as well as all other sponsor logos on the field.

IMPROVEMENTS IN THE HALL
To improve fan circulation on the west side of the stadium, a 20-foot walkway was constructed behind the west side seatbacks to allow fans easier access to and from their seats during renovations. This walkway provides ample space for fans to access the west side seatbacks and move freely around the concourse.

To escape the Tennessee heat, cooling mist fans are available in sections 115 and 128 of the hall.

For the safety of fans, barricades and fences will serve as a buffer zone to the construction site along the west side of the stadium. An 8-foot-high wall will be built behind the west concourse, which will be adorned with signs and branding from the UofM and its partners.

Concessions
Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium will continue to offer a variety of food vendors, with some new additions. Fans can still enjoy their favorite foods from Pronto Pups, Coletta's, Corky's BBQ and Tiger Tacos, while offerings will continue to be available in the Northwest and Southwest concourses. All concessions remain cashless.

Happy Hour will continue for the first hour after gates open (90 minutes before kickoff until 30 minutes before) and includes 16 oz. cans of beer for $6 at all concession stands, bars and portable locations.

There will be more draft beer and cocktail stands throughout the hall to replace the concessions on the west side lost due to renovations.

Pepsi is now the official soft drink provider at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium and will offer Gatorade as well as newly branded Grab & Go stations on the east side of the stadium for speed and convenience.

Toilets
Toilets and portable toilets are available in both the Northwest and Southwest Halls. Toilets are located at the following locations:

  • §§ 112/113, 118/119, 121/122, 127/128
  • Additional portable toilets are located near sections 131 and 109.
