Megan Thee Stallion to host the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards

Megan Thee Stallion plans to be the most-performed presenter at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.

The Grammy-winning hip-hop star was announced Thursday as the host of the 2024 ceremony, which is scheduled to air live from UBS Arena on Long Island at 8 p.m. on September 10.

Megan Thee Stallion, a two-time VMA winner, also received five nominations for 2024, including Best Hip Hop Video, the same category she won in 2020 for her Beyoncé-fueled chart-topper “Savage.”

When she was first nominated in 2019, the Houston-born beauty took home the award in the Best Power Anthem category for her hit “Hot Girl Summer.”

She is currently riding a wave of popularity after performing at a rally for presidential candidate Kamala Harris in Atlanta, and recently released “Mamushi” (featuring Japanese rapper Yuki Chiba), which has become a viral sensation on TikTok.
